Available for new projects
I build web applications that businesses run on.
I’m Gareth Harris, a full stack developer in South Wales. I’ve been building for the web for more than twenty years, these days mostly in PHP and Laravel: HR and payroll platforms, restaurant ordering systems, and the websites in front of them.

What I do
I work across the whole stack, from the database and the server it runs on to the last pixel on screen. Along the way I’ve built sites for Welsh Assembly Members, including Carwyn Jones and John Griffiths, and for dozens of businesses across South Wales.
-
Web applications
Laravel and PHP products with real users behind them: multi-tenant SaaS, dashboards, admin panels and the APIs underneath.
-
Payments & integrations
Stripe Connect, HMRC Real Time Information, e-signatures and cloud receipt printing: the parts that simply have to work.
-
Real-time & reliability
Live kitchen screens over websockets, background jobs, and servers with a standby copy ready to take over if one fails.
-
Websites & WordPress
Fast, accessible websites, built from scratch or on WordPress when that is the right tool for the client.
Away from the keyboard
I take photographs, mostly with a 28–105mm lens: ordinary things, seen properly.
Field Notes
Things I’ve built, learned or wrestled with, written down so I don’t forget them.
